Laboratory of Promising Efficient Technologies (LabPET)
The aim of the Laboratory
The purpose of LabPET laboratory is to improve energy-saving technologies on the basis of application of energy-saving solutions of nature (ESR) in power engineering tasks.
Main areas of scientific research
Reduction of resistance in elements of energy structures: testing of surface structures of mile, micro and nano dimensions.
Experimental studies in aerodynamic, hydrodynamic and cavitating flows.
Development of modern analytical and computational tools (CFD) required to study and optimise the interaction of macroflows with surface microstructures.
Development of the scientific basis for hydrokinetic energy conversion of natural flows: the basis for the creation of a new Hydro Farm technology.
Application of surface structures in models of energy devices (vortex devices, mixers, microhydroturbines, etc.).
Development of international collaborations, involvement of young scientists, including NSU students and postgraduates.
