The aim of the Laboratory
The purpose of LabPET laboratory is to improve energy-saving technologies on the basis of application of energy-saving solutions of nature (ESR) in power engineering tasks.
Main areas of scientific research
- Reduction of resistance in elements of energy structures: testing of surface structures of mile, micro and nano dimensions.
- Experimental studies in aerodynamic, hydrodynamic and cavitating flows.
- Development of modern analytical and computational tools (CFD) required to study and optimise the interaction of macroflows with surface microstructures.
- Development of the scientific basis for hydrokinetic energy conversion of natural flows: the basis for the creation of a new Hydro Farm technology.
- Application of surface structures in models of energy devices (vortex devices, mixers, microhydroturbines, etc.).
- Development of international collaborations, involvement of young scientists, including NSU students and postgraduates.
